The success of the Advent Loudspeaker was followed by the Smaller Advent Loudspeaker, designed for bookshelf use.

There are a number of interesting things to point out.

A grill was added over the tweeter (good!). The smaller 8 inch woofer presented a challenge. To get the power needed, they chose a 4 ohm voice coil, and added a huge, heavy dust cover over the voice coil. This allowed the designers to get the needed power and frequency response. The woofer magnet was massive, as was the case for the original Advent Loudspeaker.
